Fixed-Frame Projector Screen Installation Guide
The cleanest installation starts before assembly: project the intended image onto the bare wall, check the eye line and confirm the frame clears everything around it.
1. Confirm the image size with the projector first
Before drilling, set the projector at the planned mounting position and project a 16:9 image at the target diagonal. Confirm focus, lens shift, throw distance and any physical obstructions.
2. Mark the viewing area, not just the frame center
Use painter's tape to outline the approximate image area. Sit in the main seats and check whether the image feels too high or too large. The frame will extend beyond the image, so keep extra clearance.
3. Find structure in the wall
A large tensioned screen frame is not something to hang from weak anchors without understanding the wall construction. Follow the supplied mounting hardware instructions and use appropriate wall structure or rated anchors.
4. Protect the screen surface during assembly
ALR material is an optical surface. Keep hands clean, avoid sharp tools near the viewing area and assemble on a clean, soft surface exactly as the manufacturer directs.
5. Respect material orientation
Directional ALR surfaces must face the correct way. Do not assume the material can be flipped vertically or horizontally without consequences. Check the current installation manual before tensioning the surface onto the frame.
6. Re-align the projector physically
Use physical mounting, lens shift and optical zoom before reaching for digital keystone correction. The more accurately the projector is aligned to the screen, the cleaner the final image geometry can be.
